A village along the river (FR)
Discover the hamlet of Essert through the history of the Villapeyron sawmill and its traditional crafts, the Très-les-Pierres chapel nestled at the foot of the slate quarries, and plenty of stories about the resort and its development.
A hike from the Villapeyron sawmill to the 1861 Châtel Hostel (a snack break is planned at the chapel). You can return to the sawmill via a free shuttle.
Be sure to wear appropriate clothing for the hike (hiking sneakers, a hat, water, sunscreen, etc.).
Accessible to everyone, but not recommended for strollers.

From 06/07 to 23/08/2026 on Wednesday between 2 pm and 4 pm.
Cancelled in case of bad weather.

Adult: 5 €, Child (8-14 years): 3.50 €.
Free entry for children under 8.
