A village along the river (FR)
Discover the hamlet of Essert through the history of the Villapeyron sawmill and its traditional crafts, the Très-les-Pierres chapel nestled at the foot of the slate quarries, and plenty of stories about the resort and its development.
A walk from the Villapeyron sawmill to the 1861 Châtel Hostel (a snack will be provided at the chapel). A free shuttle will take you back to the sawmill.
Please wear appropriate clothing for the walk (walking shoes, hat, water, sunscreen, etc.).
Accessible to all, but not recommended for strollers.
Registration will open at the end of June.

Opening dates
From 06/07 to 23/08/2026 on Wednesday between 2 pm and 4 pm.
Cancelled in case of bad weather.
Prices
Adult: 5 €, Child (8-14 years): 3.50 €.
Free entry for children under 8.
