Many studies on the Chablais have been published since the 18th century. The Chablais area has played a major scientific role in a number of disciplines, improving understanding of the phenomena at work in structural geology and geodynamics, Quaternary geomorphology, hydrogeology, and limnology.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>The Chablais UNESCO Global Geopark is overseen by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoparc-chablais.com\/en\/science-and-research\/the-scientific-council\/\">Scientific Steering Commitee <\/a>comprising researchers in various fields.
