Agenda

In the heart of a peat bog

Come and explore the mysterious ecosystem of a peat bog to understand how soil and peat are formed. Observe the typical vegetation of this environment and in particular the sphagnum moss, and the insectivorous plants.

Visit organised as part of the Rendez-vous aux Jardins and the Chablais Geopark Week.

The Chablais Geopark label was created by UNESCO in 2015 to study and promote the links between the territory's geological heritage and its natural, cultural and intangible heritage.

The Les Gets geosite is therefore part of it. The discovery trail of the Boittets wetland offers a beautiful discovery of the challenges of water in the mountains. From the peat bogs, a fragile habitat for protected species, to the artificial school lake, you can discover the characteristic vegetation.
